Heartsine's Samaritan Automated External Defibrillator features the latest in public access defibrillator technology and is ideal for use by FIRST RESPONDERS or the lay rescuer. Small lightweight and easy to use in the home, business, or in public transit or accomodation situations, even by untrained users.
The system provides clear easily understood audible and visual prompts, with instructions to guide users through the cardiac event. Once the system electronic pads are attached to the patient, the system determines if shock is necessary and automatically adjusts wave forms to compensate for patient differences and then guides the user through shock delivery. If the system determines shock is not required, it prompts the rescuer in necessary CPR
procedures, and includes a metronone tone to guide chest compressions.
The lightweight system ( 2.4 lbs with battery) has easily accessable electrode pads and battery included in one replaceable cartridge (PAD)that enables the system when snapped in place. The PadPak is the only element of the system with an expiration date ( 3 years). Auto self test, visual and verbal instructions, and low battery alert. Compatible with AHA 2005 Guidelines.
Includes defibrillator, Pad-Pak, zippered carrying case, Users manual, and poster. (Shown in Carrying Case)
A "Saver" vesion of the system is available (see BAS-05S) which incorporates software and necessary system data port and cable to electronically record and transfer all pertinent event data, i.e., date, time, ECG trace and duration, shock delivery info and CPR intervals. Data storage and transfer capabiites gives immediate access to the complete event record for first responders and medical personnel.
Replacement PAD cartridges available seperately, (see BAS- PAK01)
