The RespAide™ CPR Isolation Mask includes a modular valve component that filters exhaled breath in both directions, providing a superior barrier to cross contamination. It utilizes a patented 2H Technology that combines hydrophobic and hydrophilic filter media layered within a sonic welded housing. The filters act in concert to remove moisture from the air stream, efficiently capturing and isolating bacteria and virus which require the presence of moisture for transmission and growth. The sonic weld fuses the duck bill valve to the housing to eliminate pathologic avenues back to the caregive (that means YOU!).
Laboratory test have verified that the RespAide has a bacterial and viral filtration efficiencies greater than 99.9% at 0.027 microns. The face mask includes the standard ISO port to connect a resuscitation bag or endotracheal tube.
When assembled the RespAide provides over seven inches of separation between the victim and the rescuer. The RespAide CPR mask is packaged in an attractive yellow draw string nylon bag. Inside are the three pieces of the mask: the face mask, the filter assembly and the mouth piece. An inner plastic bag includes instructions, a pair of latex gloves, bio-hazard bag and two antiseptic towelettes. Except for CPR training purposes, the RespAide is considered a one-time use, disposable device.
